Marketing Plans for Writers

Marketing Plans for Writers

Let us develop a marketing plan that fits your needs and budget

What’s the product? Who will buy it? How can you best reach those buyers with the lowest output in cash? That’s marketing in a nutshell.

Your product is a book, and your market is defined by the book’s theme. Analyze the market as you write. If the book is about fly fishing in Alaska, develop a mailing list and start working on news releases to outdoor magazines. Send proof copies of your book to reviewers well in advance of the publishing date.

A personal website should be your number one goal. If you can’t afford a professionally created site, there are lots of web hosting services that supply templates at little or no cost. The important thing is to have a site from which you can keep visitors updated on your progress as you write and sell your book when it’s published.

The least expensive and often the most effective way to get yourself and your writing known is through social media. Set up your Facebook, My Space, Google Plus and Twitter accounts and let people know worldwide about your book. Start a blog and post comments on other personal journals. Word of mouth is the best kind of publicity and certainly the cheapest!

Tell us about your book. We’ll work with you to develop a marketing plan that fits your needs and your budget.
